BANKING FORUM 2012
Rules, strategies, business and technology trends
MILAN 21st JUNE 2012

Stable and soundly capitalized banks, but with low profitability. This is what is shown by Abi reports on the Italian banking system, based on 2011 banks’ balance sheets. 2011 was characterized by strong instability of financial markets, due to sustainability issues of the European public debt and to the lack of dynamicity of the Italian economic growth which affected our banks’ situation.
How can our banks recover profitability?
By re-focusing business on local markets, territory, and customers, or through a deeper segmentation of the customer base?
By offering value-added services or through cost cutting also in terms of wages and flexibility?
These topics will be the core of Banking Forum 2012 debates scheduled in Milan on June 21st.
