A concept that can be applied to all commercial and industrial sectors, to all production chains and why not? Also to the trade fair sector.
In 2008 UFI, the reference sector association on an international level, set up a committee for sustainable development.
Fondazione Fiera Milano, with its Studies, Development and Training office is a member.
With a restricted number of members, the committee’s aim is to share information, know-how and experiences in order to lay down standards and guidelines and promote awareness of them with all UFI members, through conventions and reports, like the recently published UFI Insight, which presents, with input from Fiera Milano, best practices in the sector in terms of sustainability.
From planning of a trade fair district to its management and organisation of events, respecting the principles of sustainability (economic, environmental and social), involving all those interested and the surrounding area.
