Fiera Milano news n.24 - April 2010
This initiative is dedicated to the autograph drawings and sketches donated to the FAI (the Italian National Trust) by designers from all over the world. A wide range of different kinds of documents will be on show: quick sketches or scribbles made up of lines and impulsive doodles, but also collages and paper bas-reliefs, right through to simple outlines that illustrate an idea. A selection of drawings on show at the Triennale Bovisa will form the basis for an auction by Sothebys on Thursday 13 May in Villa Necchi Campiglio. All proceeds will be donated to restoration and maintenance of Villa Necchi and to the launch of the Olivetti shop in Venice, designed by Carlo Scarpa in 1957/8. |
