17,000 operators visited Fluidtrans Compomac and Mechanical Power Transmission & Motion Control, the events devoted to industrial components and solutions that have closed at Fiera Milano (Rho) on May 11th. 38% total were foreign visitors, coming from 82 countries, with 23% growth compared to 2010.
Plast 2012, three-year event devoted to plastics and rubber processing ended on May 12th, confirming the framework of an area already highlighted by regular statistical surveys: stagnation of the domestic market, penalized by the crisis, partially offset by buoyant export markets. In fact the foreign visitors at Plast 2012 have increased both in number (more than 18,000, compared to 17,500 of 2009) and in countries of origin (121 against the previous 114). Italian visitors instead have decreased by 14%, down to 32,400, according to the expectations of the organizers, who pointed out that, despite the economic difficulties faced by the companies, Plast 2012 showed good liveliness, both in terms of business contacts and as for the exhibition proposal submitted by 1,514 exhibiting companies, 36 more than those of 2009. Plast 2012 also hosted the show satellite dedicated to rubber industry RUBBER.
Great performance for Xylexpo, the world biennial exhibition of wood technologies: 32,178 square meters, 515 exhibitors, including 177 from 34 countries and 43,295 visitors. Significant turnout of foreign visitors, too, 47% of total; the most numerous came from France, Turkey, Switzerland, Russian Federation with the emerging neighbouring republics, and Germany.
Venditalia, the international exhibition of automated vending, organized by the Italian industry association Confida, has confirmed to be the most important world event of vending: over 300 exhibitors and about 20,000 visitors from 90 countries. Among the innovations on display: touch-screen distributors, the new distribution systems for single-dose coffee and innovative payment systems, developed with the following logic: "whatever you have in your pocket, you can pay with that, whether it's money, credit card, but also a phone."
Good turnout of visitors and exhibitors' satisfaction for Chibimart and ChibiDue, trendy jewellery shows which were held on May 11th through 14th at fieramilanocity. On display news and collections devoted to the jewels of the current season and hints and clues for the next cold season, of over one hundred Italian and international companies. Good results came from the Matching service, strong participation at the in-depth workshops and conferences.
Finally first event for Reatech Italia, a novelty in the fair sector, completely devoted to the solutions for accessibility, inclusion and independence of people with disabilities. 165 exhibitors, 25,000 square meters cover the inner and outer surface of the pavilions.
