Oasis at Fiera Milano

Fiera Milano hosts important events. On 30 August, the area opposite Rho exhibition centre will host the first edition of the I-Day Milano Urban Festival, on a floor surface of over 60,000 sqm.

Oasis and other rock stars like The Kooks and Kasabian will perform live starting from 6:00 pm. The festival is bound to become the most important rock festival to be held in Italy in 2009.

Fiera Milano has always hosted important events: the place attracts in fact approximately 5 million visitors annually, with attendance records of several hundreds of thousands of people visiting the most popular shows. However, the potential of this new and huge exhibition centre is not restricted to its ability to provide suitable reception services.

The complex is also well connected to the city of Milan through the underground train service, a motorway and railway network. It also has several fully equipped outdoor areas to be used for concerts, such as the I-Day Milano Urban Festival, or other events.

The concert will also serve to test the place in preparation for Expo 2015, when the outdoor area will be used to host events designed to attract 29 million visitors, who are expected to visit the Expo across six months.

It is a source of major satisfaction to us to be able to promote the exhibition centre also beyond business trade shows, which are held at Fiera Milano for the best part of the year, and which form its dna, by making it accessible to the general public. We do not want to replace event organizers whose job is to organize events like the rock concert planned for the end of August. We simply make our competences and spaces available to guarantee optimal results”.
