In Brief

Catering and Consumer 2.0

On Friday 11th June in Milan, the National Convention for Moderna Catering Groups was held, promoted by MICROS-Fidelio, a company specialised in the development of IT management systems solutions for the hospitality industry, in collaboration with Fiera Milano Editore.

The convention, called “Technological Innovation and Consumer 2.0: the new opportunities catering development in Moderna" has proved itself to be an effective training too, which witnessed catering company top management from right across Italy react with enthusiasm.

A day spent in discussions and in comparing thoughts on themes closely linked to the market, trends, business and technological models, conducted with the support of sector professionals and consultants.

Amongst the themes discussed, the analysis of how the world of catering in Italy is changing, presented by TradeLag, who have focused their attention on the characteristics and principle trends of the “out and about” modern consumer: a more mobile person, more informed, more competent, more attentive to the price/quality pay off, less faithful to a single point of sale and continually seeking something new.
