Over 8000 visitors for the fiftieth event of
Festivity, the traditional appointment with the world of Christmas decoration and any other festive occasion of the year: from Carnival to Halloween, from Mother's Day to Valentine's Day. Open only to professional operators, Festivity has been visited by 91 producers on 12,000 square meters area. In line with the new concept of the Show, the setting up of the Piazza di tutte le Feste (Piazza of all Festivities), a central space which hosted eight different festivity environments to enhance at best the various products. Great interest also for Festivals and events in a changing world, organized on behalf of Festivity by Abis Analysis and Strategies / Makno and the School of Management of Politecnico of Milano. Finally Festivity has provided exchange opportunities even on issues affecting industry in general, such as the meeting organized by the Customs Agency to update operators about the counterfeiting monitoring operations and safety guarantee of imported products.
Eighty-nine thousand operators have visited the four-day
Macef, the international home show of Fiera Milano. At its 92nd edition, Macef hosted 1,887 exhibitors, of which 25% foreigners. Once again the event has confirmed to be an unmissable appointment for the houseware companies who want to be on the market with their new products and want to confront themselves with the evolution of demand and product styles. Compared to January 2011, the participation of foreign operators reported a substantial stability with a dynamic that recorded 12% increase of French people and especially Russians who closed with a +21% compared to an expected decline in Spain and Greece (- 7%). As for the Far East, the excellent performance of Indian visitors (34%) must be underlined to offset a slight decline of the Asian countries in general. Looking overseas, there has been a good turnout from the two Americas with 32.6%. On the Italian side, there has been a drop in visitors, particularly from the regions of central-southern Italy.
Finally splendid examples of the best dog breeds have been the protagonists of the 47th edition of the
International Dogs Exhibition, which ended with a good public feedback and great satisfaction among the two-legged and four-legged participants.
